Welcome to Renaud Pailhès

We’re delighted to welcome Renaud Pailhes as Head of Cultures and Land.

Renaud obtained his degree from the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE). He spent a year on a TSE exchange programme at Vassar College, New York where he focused his studies on the environment. He then took a Master’s in EEET (Economy, Environment, Energy and Transport) at the AgroParisTech/Paris-Saclay. In this context he studied agricultural economics, which he was able to put into practice during his attachment to the Public Economy Unit of the INRAE (national research institute for agriculture, food and the environment) researching among other things the effects of free trade on biodiversity.

He completed his studies with a six-month internship with Atlanterra Agriculture Durable during which he prepared some sustainable cultural projects and analysed their profitability. He obtained his Master’s degree in September 2021.

Since October 2021 he has been putting his solid economic, environmental and agricultural skills to good use by taking part in:

  • The design, construction and monitoring of dossiers for customers of the Company, on the various tranches of projects and operations concerned:
    • The assessment of projects envisaged (analysis of business plans, business valuations, modelling, research on agricultural operations, market and competition studies, due diligence audits, etc.);
    • Financial structuring of transactions and negotiations with third parties;
  • Monitoring of dossiers, in particular, depending on customer’s requirements, in their operational, post-structuring, phase.
  • Presentation of dossiers to customers of the Company.

Renaud is also a member of the agricultural operation and production committee in charge of supervising and controlling the technical and cultural feedback and reporting of the operations.

The committee also ensures that the best agricultural practices are used, along with measures to improve the quality and volume of production. It suggests improvements in crop-growing practices, species and varieties to the other committees.
